This year's annual Founder's Award activities will focus on how journalists and editors from and in Philadelphia have shaped and engaged the news in our times.

CONNECTIONS that MATTER: Jody Lentz Demonstrates the

Power of Thinking with your Hands

(Free)

Jody’s five-year work with the LEGO© SERIOUS PLAY™ methodology has uncovered the opportunities this remarkable tool holds. His experience of playing seriously with thousands of adults around the world has led to a few discoveries that inform his practice:

· True learning is deepened by adding a third dimension to our usually very flat organizational information.

· Better communication happens when people are leaning forward, engaged with each other and telling stories.

· We have too many unproductive meetings.

· Organizations need engaging experiences for their teams to think, communicate and solve problems.

· “You learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation” – Plato.

Jody Lentz is a free agent - an independent facilitator and consultant based in Nashville, TN. He worked for the LEGO Company for three years helping develop and market the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY tool, and he has played seriously with nearly 3000 people on three continents.
