William Maurer - Gartner Research VP
Bill Maurer is a vice president and research director in Gartner Research. Mr. Maurer currently serves in the area of distributed services. He is responsible for primary research in strategic outsourcing and is a leading author on performance measurement and service-level development. Mr. Maurer is also the global research area lead (RAL) for sourcing execution and delivery. He has more than 32 years of experience in senior IT management.

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Maurer was director of Life Cycle Solutions Southeast for GE Capital IT Solutions. Mr. Maurer has also held several other IT senior management positions including CIO, vice president of services marketing, vice president of solutions development and director of applications support, as well as outsourcing business ownership.
